Old St. Patrick Oratory
Kansas City, Missouri
Old St. Patrick Oratory, built in 1875, is the oldest extant church in Kansas City, Missouri. We were invited by the Institute of Christ the King Sovereign Priest and the Diocese of Kansas City-St. Joseph to lead the interior beautification of this historic church.
The church's brick and sandstone exterior had weathered many years of neglect and the interior was in great need of restoration. Our work consisted of the design and coordination of new and restored interior architectural vision including woodworking, new wood flooring, restored plaster and new decorative painting, restored altars, communion railing, pews, and confessionals, new and restored lighting, and new sound systems. In addition, we worked closely with the architect of record, Blue Bike Architecture, Inc., to coordinate the design and installation of new HVAC, electrical, and plumbing systems. Dedicated and reopened in October 2008, Old St. Patrick Oratory is a beacon of Catholic tradition and beauty in the heart of Kansas City.
